Cork Chamber is Chamber of the Year

Speaking at the Awards ceremony yesterday evening (13/5/08), Chamber President, Joe Gantly was delighted to accept the Award for the Chamber stating that "Cork Chamber has once again led by excellence in all areas of its work. By adapting and changing services in line with business requirements and harnessing opportunities, the Chamber has established itself as a key player in local, regional and national developments".

"2007 was a very active year for the Chamber. The demand for our services grew steadily. In-depth market research helped us to successfully reposition the Chamber brand and led to a massive increase in profile for our organisation. We have shown outstanding performance in core areas such as membership services, membership growth with over 200 new members recruited in 2007 and an enhanced focus on representation.

Mr Gantly praised the high standards set by Chamber Chief Executive, Conor Healy and his dedicated team and paid tribute to the Chamber board and member companies for their on-going support for the benefit of business in the region.

Mr Gantly concluded by saying "We are committed to building on our achievements and we are very pleased that our work is recognised for consistent excellence by the national Chamber network".
