AxisBIC are hiring for the very exciting role of Senior Consultant.

As a Senior Consultant with AxisBIC, your role is to support high potential startups across the South West region. The Senior Consultant focus at AxisBIC is to work with entrepreneurs through concept development, market feasibility, business planning, financial projections, funding, commercialisation and international growth stages. You will work with a significant proportion of Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Startups each year.

AxisBIC is a private-sector led organisation, specifically set up to identify and build knowledge intensive companies based on promising technology and capable innovative people. It plays a hands-on role helping entrepreneurs navigate the minefield of raising finance, sorting out business propositions, arranging agreements with shareholders and investors, and, perhaps most important of all, finding customers. Over the past 30+ years AxisBIC has worked with over 500 start-ups, many of whom come back and re-engage.

For the Senior Consultant role duties, skills and experience should incorporate the following:

Duties include:

• Development of investor grade business propositions including financial projections
• Identifying new strategic finance initiatives for client companies
• Tracking company performance against agreed SLAs & KPIs
• Mentoring and guidance of high growth innovative entrepreneurs
• Leading and developing investment networks
• Engaging with 3^rd level Institutions, Accelerators and Incubators
• Managing stakeholder relationships across the entrepreneurial community

Skills and Experience:

• Professional qualification in business / finance (e.g. MBA)
• Experience in financing and sourcing funds for high growth innovative businesses
• Experience, knowledge and interest in new technologies, across multiple sectors
• Experience of a hi-tech start-up environment as founder or co-founder is preferred
• Ability to develop, direct and write business plans with financial projections to strict deadlines
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with an ability to build trust.
