Celebrating Cork's High Growth Start-Ups

31 May, 2013

Date:                                    Friday 14th June
Location:                             The Port of Cork, Custom House St, Cork
Time:                                   12:00 – 14:00

Following on from a very successful event last year we are delighted to welcome back Simon Coveney, T.D. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine who will address the group followed by a panel discussion including some recent HPSUs. A light lunch will be served before the event.

This event is all about encouraging people to consider an entrepreneurship journey and discover if they too could be part of rebuilding the economy. Budding Entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to meet and hear from real companies employing significant numbers with capable innovative people, who see no recession.

Among the audience will be professional firms, investors, senior managers in multinationals and others who may wish to develop high growth businesses. AxisBIC want to attract individuals who might be considering a career move and would like to learn more about their options for ‘starting a business’.

100 years ago Cork’s Port was one of the busiest in the world. In 1912 Winston Churchill as First Sea Lord of the Admiralty addressed the Commissioners of the Port of Cork in the same Board Room where our event will take place.

Now, in 2013, from the same venue a new breed of crusader is taking on world markets, with knowledge, ingenuity and skills. AxisBIC plays a hands-on role helping these entrepreneurs navigate the minefield of raising finance, sorting out business propositions, arranging agreements with shareholders and investors and most importantly finding customers.
