Launching Entrepreneur Experience® 2012
The 24 hour ‘Inspirational & Energetic’ Event for Entrepreneurs
19th January 2011 - The Entrepreneur Experience® is all about fast tracking Entrepreneurs’ ideas and propositions into real business opportunities, encouraging growth, delivering jobs and ultimately being part of Ireland’s regeneration. Developed by AxisBIC and driven by AxisBIC board member Jim Breen, CEO PulseLearning, this event is an exceptional opportunity for emerging entrepreneurs based in Ireland or abroad.
The format of the Entrepreneur Experience® is a 24 hour event with Emerging Entrepreneurs being invited to apply for one of 21 places, from start-up companies to investor ready companies to companies that want to scale and grow. These Emerging Entrepreneurs will then get an opportunity to meet with up to 30 of Ireland's most successful business leaders where they will be coached, advised and gain unparalleled access to these successful Entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the launch today, Minister for Small Business, John Perry TD said that “this event is just the kind of initiative that Ireland Inc. needs to promote entrepreneurship using successful Irish business heads working with the Emerging Entrepreneurs of the future.”
Also at the launch was Enterprise Ireland’s new Regional Director for the South/South East Region Enda McDonnell who commented “it is great to see the cross section of Entrepreneurs who are involved in the Entrepreneur Experience. There is a real buzz to this event but with a very serious goal of focussing these Entrepreneurs’ ideas into real business opportunities.”
The Event takes place on the Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of March 2012 at the Trident Hotel, Kinsale, Co. Cork and applications are currently being accepted until the Friday 3rd of February via the AxisBIC website.
This is the second year of the Entrepreneur Experience®, which was extraordinarily well received in 2011. We are looking forward to another great event this year. Some of the comments from 2011 included: “This event was as a good as gets”, “It was like drinking Red Bull for 24 hours”, “Inspirational”, “Rehab for the Recession”, “Refreshing to be with so many ‘can-do’ positive people”, "Angel dust for start-ups”.
Many of the Seasoned Entrepreneurs who participated last year are coming back for more. There are also some new faces, including Bill Liao of XING; Fred Karlsson of Donedeal.ie; Grainne Kelly of Bubblebum; Kevin O’Leary of Qumas; and Jim Barry of Barry Group.
