The Irish Times Innovation Awards in association with InterTradeIreland

To recognise the best Innovators in Ireland the Irish Times and InterTradeIreland are inviting companies, small, medium or large, based on the island of Ireland, to promote their innovations and enter the first all-island Innovation in Business awards before 14th January 2010.

Award categories:

Organisational Systems & Processes
Development of an original or a significant improvement to an existing business system or process.

Product and/or Service Innovation
Development of an original, or a significant improvement to an industry standard, product or service, this may apply across any industry sector or product/service type.

Application of R&D
Effective improvement in the organisational capability, and application, of research and development across any industry sector.

GreenTech
Product or service innovations within the specialist environmental technology sector, this may apply to improvements in existing industry standard products or completely original applications.

North/South Collaboration
Demonstration of innovation through the application of North/South collaboration to projects/initiatives which adds significant competitive advantage. This may apply to joint company initiatives or company-academia initiatives.

Public Service Innovation
Demonstration of unique projects or initiatives within the public sector which create better value for the taxpayer through system, service or product innovation.

All short listed finalists will be acknowledged within The Irish Times Innovation Magazine, with all category winners featured across the Irish Times Innovation and Business pages.

The overall 'Innovator of the Year' will win a unique and extremely high profile communications package worth in excess of €200,000.
